£8k to £35k Months: Ultimate Detailing Co.’s Growth Story

When Nath and Drew came to Driven in May 2025, Ultimate Detailing Co. was an ambitious Cardiff-based detailing business with plenty of potential, but its marketing wasn’t supporting where they wanted to take it.

Poor-quality leads and the loss of their previous website meant they needed to rebuild their digital presence and create a more reliable foundation for growth.

Since then, Ultimate has grown from approximately £8k–£10k to months reaching £30k–£35k, expanded from one detailing bay to three, and grown from just Nath and Drew to a team of three full-time employees supported by two contractors. With further recruitment potentially on the horizon, PPF has also developed into a major part of the business.

This is how we helped Nath and Drew turn their marketing into a platform for the next stage of Ultimate Detailing Co.

The Challenge

Plenty of Leads, But Not Enough of the Right Ones

Ultimate had the foundations of a strong business, but their marketing wasn’t supporting where Nath and Drew wanted to take it.

Lead quality was one of the biggest challenges. Their previous marketing generated a high volume of enquiries through Facebook lead forms, but many were poorly qualified and difficult to convert.

Their existing website had also been neglected, with their previous agency instead relying on separate GoHighLevel landing pages for Meta Ads. This meant organic visitors received a much poorer experience, while the wider online presence wasn’t being built for long-term growth.

When Nath and Drew gave notice, those landing pages were removed. Ultimate needed to take back control of their online presence and build a digital foundation that could support every source of traffic.

The Game Plan

Building a Digital Foundation Ultimate Could Own

With Ultimate’s GoHighLevel landing pages removed and their existing website no longer fit for purpose, we built a new professional WordPress website from scratch. Rather than relying on separate landing pages, we created one high-performing website designed to support SEO, organic traffic, Google Ads, Meta Ads and direct visitors.

Importantly, the website belongs to Ultimate. At Driven, our clients receive full access and ownership of their website from day one, giving them complete control over an important digital asset built for their business. That distinction is important to how we work says Cal, founder of Driven:

“Our clients own their websites.”

Rebuilding Ultimate's Website Around Performance

Our Web team created a clean, clinical and professional website influenced by Ultimate’s physical studio, creating a consistent experience from discovering the business online to visiting in person.

Performance remained at the centre of the build. Clear calls to action, SEO-focused content, strong mobile usability and site speed were prioritised to create a website designed to convert across every traffic source.

We also used A/B testing to continually improve performance. Testing showed that a hero section focused on customers’ key pain points increased conversions, allowing us to adapt the website around real user behaviour.

“Liv was awesome, with the website delivery and what we actually wanted to portray on the website.”

One of the most important parts of the website was making sure it genuinely felt like Ultimate. The business already had the workmanship, customer service and reputation. Our job was to translate that into an online presence capable of communicating the same level of trust before somebody ever stepped inside the studio.

Ultimate supplied around 900 genuine images for the project, allowing us to showcase its work across a wide range of vehicles rather than relying on generic imagery. Today, the website also showcases 270+ five-star reviews, helping reinforce the reputation the business has continued to build. Rather than simply giving Ultimate another website, we created a digital presence capable of growing alongside them.

Supporting Ultimate's Move Into PPF

One of the biggest developments in Ultimate’s journey has been the introduction and growth of Paint Protection Film.

As part of expanding into PPF, Nath and Drew completed professional PPF training with Pyramid Car Care, giving Ultimate the foundations to introduce the service confidently and develop it into a key part of the business.

Our role was then to make sure their marketing supported that investment. As PPF became increasingly important to Ultimate, the website needed to educate potential customers, showcase the quality of their installations and make a higher-value service easier to understand and enquire about.

We developed a dedicated interactive PPF package widget, helping customers compare different levels of coverage and identify the right option for their vehicle. We also supported the service with SEO-focused content targeting Cardiff and South Wales, genuine examples of Ultimate’s PPF work and their Pyramid Car Care accreditation to strengthen trust and authority.

The move into PPF would become an important turning point in Ultimate’s growth, helping the business expand its service offering and attract higher-value work.

Replacing Lead Volume With a Multi-Channel Digital Strategy

Launching the website was only one part of the strategy. Ultimate moved onto our Tier 3 Digital Management, giving the account 16 hours of dedicated management each month across:

Google Ads  |  Meta Ads  |  SEO  |  Local SEO

Ultimate Detailing and Driven Marketing Agency

Rather than continuing to rely heavily on high-volume Facebook lead generation, we could build a more balanced strategy around the new website.

SEO and Local SEO created the foundations for longer-term organic visibility, while Google and Meta Ads allowed us to reach potential customers interested in the services Ultimate wanted to grow.

Most importantly, the website, organic strategy and paid campaigns could now work together rather than operating as disconnected parts of the business.

The relationship has remained collaborative throughout. Nath and Drew have been open to recommendations from our Web and Digital teams while being equally comfortable giving us direct feedback. As Nath puts it:

“We have a good laugh… it just works.”

The Results:

“We went from having one Detailing Studio to now we’ve got three bays. And we need a fourth already.”

– Ultimate Detailing

Revenue growth has translated directly into growth across the wider business.

When we started working together, Ultimate was just Nath and Drew operating from one detailing bay. Today, the business has expanded to three bays, with demand already creating the need for a fourth.

The team has grown alongside it. Ultimate now has three full-time team members plus two contractors, taking the business from its original two-person operation to a team of five. With the potential for another full-time team member to join in the coming months, Ultimate is continuing to build the capacity needed for its next stage of growth.

Growing the Business, Not Just the Marketing Metrics

One of the clearest indicators of Ultimate’s progress is what has happened to the business itself. At one stage, the size of the premises felt ambitious. Growth has happened quickly enough that Ultimate now has the opposite problem: they need more room.

The service offering has expanded alongside it. PPF has developed into a significant part of the business, while Car Wrapping has also recently been introduced as another opportunity for growth. What began as a project to improve marketing and lead quality has therefore supported a much wider evolution of Ultimate Detailing Co.

Nath summed up where the business is today simply:

“The business is in a healthy place right now.”

And importantly, it hasn’t stopped:

“It’s constantly growing, which is nice to see.”

Behind the Pit Wall

Ultimate is a strong example of what can happen when Web, SEO and Paid Media aren’t treated as isolated services. Instead, each part of the strategy has been able to support the next stage of the business.

Cal, Founder of Driven

“We tie our success to our clients’ success. When you grow, we grow. Ultimate is a prime example of that. New clients are now looking up to Ultimate and want what they have.”

Our Digital Team

Ultimate’s marketing is now managed across Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO and Local SEO, allowing us to continually assess where the strongest opportunities are rather than relying on one source of enquiries.

As the business changes, the marketing can change with it. That has become particularly important as Ultimate has expanded its PPF offering, increased capacity, grown the team and introduced new services.

Our Web Team

For Liv and our Web team, the priority was bringing Ultimate’s vision to life while ensuring the website remained commercially focused. The clean, clinical design was deliberately aligned with the physical studio, while conversion testing, mobile usability, site speed and SEO remained central to the build.

One of the team’s proudest outcomes is how naturally the online and offline experiences now connect. A customer can discover Ultimate online, explore genuine examples of its work and understand its services before arriving at a studio that feels consistent with the brand they’ve already experienced.

From the Driver's Seat

Perhaps one of the strongest measures of the relationship isn’t a metric at all. Nath now actively recommends Driven to other businesses and has referred several people directly to the team.

When other business owners ask who created Ultimate’s website or manages its lead generation and marketing, he’s happy to point them in our direction. For a business owner with more than 16 years’ experience in sales himself, that recommendation means a lot to us.

In Nath’s words:

“What they’ve done for our business, we can’t thank them enough for really.”

Lessons From the Journey

Every business has its own road to success. Here are a few lessons from Ultimate Detailing Co.’s journey that could help other automotive business owners find their next gear.

Invest in the Foundations

A professional website and a marketing strategy focused on quality enquiries can create stronger foundations for long-term growth.

Don't Be Afraid to Expand

Introducing PPF opened new opportunities for Ultimate, helping the business grow its offering and achieve £30k–£35k months.

Make Room for Growth

“We went from having one Detailing Studio to now we've got three bays. And we need a fourth already.” Growth brings new challenges, but expanding the team and capacity has allowed Ultimate to keep moving forward.

The Road Ahead for Ultimate Detailing co.

There isn’t a finish line to the strategy. Ultimate has grown from one bay to three, and demand is already creating the need for a fourth. The team is expanding, another hire is being planned and Car Wrapping has joined the growing range of services available from the studio.

Our focus now is making sure the marketing continues to keep pace. That means continuing to develop Ultimate’s SEO and local visibility, managing and refining Google and Meta campaigns and supporting new services and opportunities as the business continues to evolve.

The foundations are firmly in place. Now we’re focused on helping Nath, Drew and the team build on them.
